World owes US a debt, says Brown

    "The world owes a debt to the United States for its leadership in the fight against international terrorism"

    This has to be the joke of the month (if there is any such thing like that). I think its the other way around. Lets hope this was a one off Blair-like moment.

    I think the world would of been better without US's war "let's get more Oil" on terrorism. :D

    Whether you agree with the premise of the war is immaterial. You should open your eyes to what is going on around you -- you WERE in a war long before Iraq. The US (and Australia and UK to a lesser extent) are the only ones willing to take a stand.

    The world owes them nothing. He is the Prime Minister of the UK, what else do you expect their closest all to say? It seems Brown has already started on the backfoot.
