Im still fairly new to the world of the web, i built my site 13 months ago, i followed it with a 2nd site a couple of months later, ive researched SEO hard and ive managed to get both sites into the top 10 SERP rankings for my key phrases, yes its not a highly competetive niche, but ive acheived pretty good reults and my business is going fairly well, my question is can i just register more domain names that include my keywords then SEO them to get more sites into the top 10?. If i use different content on them all will google punish me or will i achieve google domination. Some of the domain names i want are available and im sure i can SEO them. How many domains can i own, optimise and win with? One of my competitors has at least 3 domains on the front page (all below mine) another has 2, 1 above mine in serps one below, can i register 10 domain names, build sites, SEO them and whip all of their asses without google puishing me, or should i just focus all my efforts and cash on one site?

the idea is to get my sites onto the 1st page of search results and force competitors sites back to page 2, the more sites i have on page 1 the more bookings ill get. sounds good in theory, but im not 100% sure, thats why im asking here.

You can do that as long as google is not aware all from one owner. You know, something like link exchange between your websites is a bad idea if you want to do this. Other than that, I don't see any reason why you should not start a new websites in same niche to kick off your competitors to next page.

This sounds good in theory but the fact is that I would just focus your attention on getting your site on the 1st place on google. You lose most of your potential visitors if your lower than 3rd place.

    You can do that.

Many people already do it, check out the MySpace niche for example.

    hi,

Taking new domains by a single user is accepted.but see that you are not linking with in the same sites and see that the content of your websites is unique.simply follow the google specifications of SEO, you will get succeeded.

I have seen many people dominate the first page with different sites for their keyword. Just make sure you have each site on it's own unique IP, which means no addon domains. And as Atniz said, be careful with your linking between them.
