Well, significant events happen from time to time and any business will be able to predict which will have an affect and put plans in place for those times, as well as the good times. Are you telling me your business planning isn't up to scratch? I was unpacking some boxes yesterday (no power in Auckland, too cold for sex, so ...) and pulled out a 1926 photographic study of London - produced by the Germans. Must have come in handy a decade later... Any yeah, I can understand that anyone loyal to Pakistan might find Sara's comment offensive, and this isn't a political thread, however Pakistan's international reputation will take some time to recover and so comments will be made.
I'm surfing and watched WC at the same time. This is my first posting at 4:06 AM (Malaysian time) while watching Brazil v Crotia. Kaka socred about 2 minutes before the end of the 1st half time.
My stats are pretty much the same but 99% of my traffic is from the U.S. and it seems like no one in the U.S. even cares about soccer. I forgot it even started until one of my friends brought it up.
Apologies to anyone I offended with my remark - it was thoughtless and silly and I shouldn't have said it. Sorry.
only a small 15% visitor drop here...., i should have created a world cup related site though.... 2 late now
why don't you give some traffic to this guy? http://fifa2006news.blogspot.com/ He may get you back in the future
I have absolutely no soccer-related sites. The odd thing is, Saturday 10th, when England were playing, saw a surge in my traffic. I wonder whether that was the World Cup Widow effect?
Interesting. I have notice that these soccer stands are always filled up with around 90 to 95 percent men. Is this a common thing in Europe? Are women unofficially not allowed to participate?
Surely it's common everywhere for women not to be interested in football and similar masculine type sports. Not just Europe. In Asia etc the only reason the women support football is because it's fashionable. Very few women actually /get/ what it's all about 'cos they don't have the same testosterone levels and are therfore unable to experience watching football in quite the same way as your average fella. Pete
Well that's not exactly true. In America, the stands of football, basketball, and baseball games are always filled with about 40% women, from what I can gather just by going to these games and watching them on TV. (I'm something of a sports junkie. American sports, anyway.)
Well women tend to be increasingly more like men, especially in America. The young American women are the leaders in acting like guys. Young women in America actually think it's a good thing to have a six-pack. You going to set me off on a right rant here Jackburton. Europe is lacking behind, but we're getting there. Too many women already drink beer over here in the UK and are loud etc..going out drinking pretending they're lads and acting like revolting cunts (pardon my French) with total disregard or respect for men. I'm sure the football stands will fill up in Europe as the next generations of females become more and more like men, as they are doing. The last woman I was seeing had a daughter aged 13, and she was begging her mother to buy her Lynx deodrant because it's 'cool' to use mens deodrant and all the girls at school use it - for crying out loud! Pete
The only affect the world cup is having on my sites is the massive increase in blog spam I have been getting. Almost as bad as the casino and viagra spam lately
Since most of the kids are in their houses today coz its summer, my google earnings & visitors soared. Looks like there's a different effect by the world cup event on some sites...
