    Hi all,

I have engineered a new fitness concept, branded WorkoutBox and I’m looking for established Internet Marketers and Web Savvy Fitness enthusiasts to partner in order to take the site forwards.

I see WorkoutBox as a new online concept – A Web 2.0 Fitness Community that allows users to share their own workouts and subscribe too and comment on, workouts created by others. Creating an online database of user generated workouts for all to see and use - You could almost call it a Wiki for Fitness.

    Summary

    • A sophisticated web platform that allows members to browse, upload and share their workouts.
    • A workout can be anything from a body building gym routine, to a set of stretches to improve your flexibility. It’s broken down into logical exercises that must be performed with certain constraints involved.
    • All Workouts bar the initial input baseline are user generated, with the aim to be the most sophisticated workout database in existence online.
    • Aside from viewing workouts created by others, any user can submit their own. This involves members building the workout from a pool of existing exercises (all of which have images and videos associated with them). If the workout uses an exercise that’s not in the system, users can add them own.
    • Workouts themselves can be added to a users gym bag. Meaning they head down to the gym, do the workout and log their results afterwards. Obviously you a user can view their progress overtime for certain workouts and compare results with themselves or others.
    • You can rate and comment on workouts (like IMDB.com but for Fitness). This would provide a collaborative internet wide view of the best workouts for achieving certain goals, not just certain individual’s or site owner’s opinions.
    • Members can even add their own YouTube hosted videos for their workout. This allows them to add their own personal touch as they demonstrate how it should be done.
    • On top of all this, we have the standard community, with forums and social networking etc.
    • In the future League tables for Workouts and a premium members section offering extra services will be added.
    • Although the primary focus of the site is fitness enthusiasts, the concept can be rebranded and applied to other markets like “Health and Fitness for over 50’s” and “Exercise for Kids”.

NB – Currently WorkoutBox is password protected, but I’d be happy to provide login details on request, so you can really get a feel for the brand and concept that I have created.

    Development Status:

The site has been under development for 4 months + now, with an excellent offshore team in India. I come from an IT background myself and have spent much time engineering the site and specifying how all of its modules should work and interlink. The site is VERY tied into Workouts and the technicalities of Fitness; this has meant that a whole new platform or application has been built from scratch. Using existing CMS based systems was simply not an option and hence the much longer and more complicated development process.

I work closely with the development team on a daily basis and monitor progress. We’re now getting ever closer to a BETA launch date where we can start to invite certain members onto the site, get them using it on a daily basis and gauge their feedback.

    Partners

I’ve taken the product and project this far on my own. I’m now at the stage where I need extra help on two levels to maximise WorkoutBox’s potential and establish it firmly in the market:

Internet Business / Product Marketing Expertise:

I originally come from a programming background, but over the last few years have jumped across into business and online product development. Still being a relative newbie in this area, I welcome the addition of more experienced individuals to the team, who aren’t in such unfamiliar territory. I see them being involved in everything from product development, to promotion and monetization.

    Internet Savvy Fitness Experts:

WorkoutBox needs a knowledgeable fitness expert(s), who can help write fitness based content and initially create and administer exercises and workouts within the system. This would also include filming videos for the exercises. Other opportunities exist, such as running web based podcast workout tips and also providing a online personal training consultancy services to the membership base and of course managing the site blog. I have contacted a range of local Fitness instructors and although they have all been extremely keen on the idea, I simply don’t feel they can be relied upon when it comes to developing online services like this; there not computer savvy enough.

In terms of what I’m looking for in a partnership - I’m happy to offer an equity share in WorkoutBox and any revenue that’s generated from it. This is of course if I feel you can bring what I need to the table and is open to negotiation.

If you’re interested in WorkoutBox and can offer what I’m looking for in a partner, then please do be in touch and I’ll send over the login details along for the site so you can take a sneak peak for yourself.

    Regards,
