Hello . I am new to the affiliate marketing and I am having a problem with some of the merchants that I am applying for on my cj account. I am building a new web site and obviously, I need to populate my web pages. I am trying to go with name brand companies. Yes, I have been accepted by a few but there are some that are declining me right off the bat. With most, I don't get specific reasons why but a big and tall shop said: * inability to access Web site (Yes, I do have a couple of pages published). * Web site not yet live * traffic levels too low * inappropriate material on site (Possibly the lingerie page or the electronics pages on my site). If I am only wanting quality brands on my web pages, then how do I get them to notice me if they are the ones that I am needing to populate my site? I feel like this is a catch 22 situation. Any help would be great. Splashtech
Sometimes it happens splashtech. Some of the reasons are the ones listed in your post and sometimes there is other reasons. The biggest ones I have come across is having the right traffic levels and also the affiliate not having a program setup for my country. Don't sweat it to much. There is lots of programs out there so just look for others.
I believe they are automatically rejecting your site if you don't fit the category they are targetting. They don't really know about your traffic levels. Most CJ advertisers have people who are there to help affiliates. Simply shoot them an email and they'll most likely respond. They are there for that single reason, afterall. Don't be shy, just write what you want to do and they'll let you join.
Working with Affiliate Programs they are great your not working with the right corp trust your instincts" you need a program that offeres you a web site, auto responder, add banners, and last but not least a hot opt in lead capture page see my sig Try The First Healthy Coffee" click the Join Gano Excel link at the top of the web site you will see what it takes to make it and break it online we offer all of thee above for the price of a new book and a cd" cheers
