It's a working video code site meaning the video codes actually work! The site pulls videos from a mixture of Yahoo and singingfool. The script works and auto-updates so your videos don't stop working whenever Yahoo changes.

For the curious: Yes this is the script from hubbed.com. Hubbed.com was bought out and the new owner apparently just wanted the domain so you cannot buy this script anymore.

Traffic
According to Google analytics it only gets about 150 or so uniques per day. You can view live awstats here: www.videocodegalaxy.com/awstats but they are skewed because they reflect actual hits on the video code player too.

I'm just showing those live stats so you can see for yourself where the referrers and SE traffic is coming from. Also so you can see for yourself that the videos don't actually cost you any bandwidth.

Revenue
Not really worth mentioning. It's made $10.82 since 02 July. I'm selling the site simply because I don't have the time nor the inclination to promote it and have it really start making cash.

It's funny because Hubbed.com Never had the rights to sell the script. He was doing it illegaly without the owner permission. I heard Hubbed was actually shut down because of a C&D, but that hasnt been confirmed. However, the part about the Hubbed having no rights to reselling the script is as I talked to the owner and creator.

 

Before you make statements then use phrases like "I heard" please ensure you know your statements are fact and can back them up with proof and solid facts. I'm not coming down on you because if what you're saying is true I'd like to know and the buyer should know too but all I can see from what you've said is heresay.

I paid for this script through the hubbed.com site and have read nowhere about the hubbed site not owning the script. If what you say is true then why hasn't it been so much as mentioned in the hubbed.com sale I linked to at the beginning of this thread?

Again, if it's true I'd like to know but the bottom line is it wouldn't stop me from using the site. I bought it, paid for it, hosted it and promoted it out of my own pocket. As I've told others via PM I've nothing to hide here. I even stated where I got it the script which is a lot more than most seller would do here.

Question:
1) Have you taken the time yet to promote, if so could that info be shared.
2) Are there any bugs in the admin/cms and even the sight which will need work ?
3) Do the vids come with the site, or are they fed from another source.. if so, how many are involved.

I buy alot of sites and wont have time 'till January to do anything. So I'm hoping it can sit Quietly, functioning while I do other things.

Thanks we seem to think alike. If the site doesn't sell I planned on just letting it sit quietly till the winter season when people are trapped in their homes with nothing better to do than surf sites of this nature.

In answer to your questions:

1) I promoted it by adding a link on one of my low traffic myspace sites which sends it about 30 uniques per day. I also did a little SEO with keyword placement on the site so it ranks for not so obvious keywords that are searched for quitea bit. Since it's a reasonably old domain that should start paying off nicely soon. I also sent bulletins to a 6k friend myspace account for about 2 days (total of 5 bulletins) and that's a big chunk of where the current members came from. That was back in early June.

2) Absolutely not. That's one thing I can say is I'm usually unimpressed with scripts I buy, being a coder myself. But this thing worked right out of the box and is very easily skinned. I haven't run into any bugs and I haven't needed to go in and wrestle with code or do things manually with the database.

3) The vids are physically hosted on yahoo and singingfool.com. If you'll look at the live stats I provided in the first post you can see that the video viewing doesn't affect your bandwidth any mroe than it takes to load the tiny php file.

hubbed was shut down by a C&D, I know that for a fact. You can't link to Yahoo videos or singingfool, they get pissed. I got a C&D over 9 months ago for doing that...

 

You should forward me that so I can examine the headers for you. Because it seems you are the only one that got it. People are making a lot of money with these video code sites and fake C&D letters from competition unfortunately aren't anything new to this business.

There are quite a few video code sites doing very well today and most of them have been using Yahoo videos from the start. You're the second one to state you know something for a fact without any facts...

In any case I have 2 potential BIN buyers but neither have confirmed so this is still open. Basically the first person to post SOLD for BIN gets this site.

It's easy for you to brush things under the rug. Keep thinking to yourself you actually have the rights to the scripts because you bought from a person who doesnt. I talk to the REAL owner pretty often and he said that hubbed had NO RIGHTS to sell the script.

It's not that your a bad person or anything its just that your attitude stinks and fails to consider that this might actually be true. Why in the world would I come in here ruining your thread and even have a person back up the claim who I dont even know.

C&D's from yahoo to video code sites isnt even the issue here. I am not even going on that topic at all. Just to clarify
