OK, some months ago I changed the Adsense adformat lowering the amount of Google Ads to increase click payout. I removed the footer 728x90 and put a topfold of 468x60 Well, my personal findings for this scenario is, it didn't work I have started putting the footer 728x90 back and immediately saw an improvement. I am now also using PAN (OpenAds) to monitor clicks etc and have found the footer Ad to be quite effective Also using Kontera and the amount of clicks for this matches Adsense however I believe Kontera still needs a fair amount of work to be able to get to a level to where I consider them effective. I was accepting 6c a click but to start getting 1c clicks is a bit bothersome. Something interesting, for myself, is that I believed that a 6% click thru ratio was possible and with Adsense I was going below 3%. Kontera is hovering around 4%, so it is more a case that Adsense was probably not delivering the Ads related to my content and users, and (imo) more reason not to change things where it was a site designed for Adsense. The ability to simply block out low paying Ads with Kontera is not straight forward however I am sure with time there is room for improvement I received (like almost everyone) the Adsense tip to lower the domains being blocked and as a test I removed the whole list. Bob's your uncle, they were back in a flash leeching the site, so I returned the list and began removing certain blocked sites off the list Please, realise that I develop content sites and I expect my clicks to pay a minimum of 10c. I have a few paying clients who pay per month to be advertised on the site and they take 3 to 6 month contracts ranging between $150 to $300 per month, so the Ad space area has a certain value I am tinkering with BANS, CJ, Amazon and 1 or 2 others (even clickbank) and now that I am using the Adserver I am able to monitor things a lot better as well as rotate ads displayed if necessary. Being proactive developing your own sales and marketing is most important however it is all about time, the intention is to introduce eBooks and other aspects related to the content where we begin to convert our own users to products we sell, instead of sending them away. I decided to do this thread because I so often read things and don't really contribute Cheers
