Go there get some ideas on colors

 

Try to have better color combination (there are a lot of blue links which hurt my eyes). Also, try to add a header or graphic (between the logo and the main navegation) as it will make your website prettier instead of just being a bunch of text. Remember, users visit websites for the content but the visual experience is just as important.

 

i think you need some pictures, looks quite bland and hard to read.

Try to browse to different websites to get some idea about building and designing your website. You can also use cascading style sheets in your web design to lessen the time in designing your site.
