I've used Adsense for years and have a decent monthly income from it. However, December was poor and this month is turning out to be awful! A few days ago I pulled out data for the last 12 months and it proves that despite my site have a great increase in impressions, my income continues to fall. It's really disappointing, that all the work to drive increased traffic is working well, but the returns are going down and down, never mind not rising. What has changed? Otto
Good comment. I am also experiencing lower earnings everday, and sometimes i ask myself if more work will get me rewarded more. But think about it like this: If you add more content,in the end you will be rewarded, because if all your content gets indexed by google in the end you will get the reward you worked so hard for. So the lesser earnings you get,the more work you need to do. Because when you add more content you can maybe get back to the normal earnings and WHEN your new content finally gets indexed you will get even more money. KEEP MOTIVATED!
Hi gretel We add new content daily, and our URLs are all indexed by Google (we submit our sitemap to Google too). Thanks Otto
Adsense is 1/3 of all Google revenues, and once Microsoft and Yahoo are dreaming for getting into PPC why dont they act? Everybody hates Adsense these days, not days even last few months, It would be great if Google gets a slap in its face from its competitors, they got so big that they dont care about publishers anymore and do whatever they want.
In the end you will see the benefits ,just need to be patient. There have been many people with big websites and content before, but the ones who failed didnt have the patience to wait for the results to show.
gretel - We are not a new site. We've been on the web over 10 years old. The results DID show after many years hard work. However now the "results" are going the wrong way. Thanks Otto
Perhaps, could it be that the Adsense blocks now have to be 'Clicked' right on the Title or URL to register as a "Click" and, not on the entire box, like it used to be?........this change has affected many people's earnings significantly...... '
Same thing happens to me too. Though my number of impressions increased, clcks are the same, only that eCPM dropped from $2-$3 to as low as $0.3.
What we need is a competitor that uses the same ad formats as Google, easy to apply to and has a large advert base so we don't get crap ads.
The decreasing revenues plus inflation in real world makes "real monetary value" of clicks lower and lower. I
