Working hard vs. Working Smart

Work smart and not work hard is a phrase that you probably have come across. Sometimes, I wonder as if working hard is a vice while working smart is a virtue. Anyway my thought is working smart is not the absence of working hard like most people will have you believe. Working smart simply implies gleaning necessary information, acquiring skills and connecting with the right resource that will move you in the direction of your anticipated objectives as to running around all over the place trying everything you think might work. What's your take on this?

Nice :L I liked it xD I think though that its important to get try and get the perfect blend of working hard and smart. Try to adapt to varies things that will make your hard work that 10% better etc, it is hard to start but once you get that blend together with a good work force then you will achieve success! :) I mean just think about studying for exams. All of us started out with just writing from the book and trying to memorize that way but we adapted and started making mind maps and charts and found new ways to process this information and ultimately the exam results have improved!

Most of us struggle with, if not resist the challenge, the prod, the invitation, to work smarter… although we wouldn’t admit it to others and certainly not to ourselves. We don’t work smarter for all sorts of reasons, even though we live and work in the information age. any way nice video
