I just really love the fact that I can just get up, park my behind behind the screen and start working in my undies, while talking to a big shot from some multinational on Gtalk :D I always try to picture the dude suit and tie, with me in front of him in my underwear :D

I never get tired of that little fact :D

It is worth it to me. I do not think I could ever return to Corporate America.

The only bad parts about working from home is the lack of social interaction and the fact that it can be difficult to stay focused.

Lots of freedome and it's nice to sleep in. It's worth it but it's very important to be organized and not slack off and try to work on a set schedule.

I think it's worth.. because at this position you don't need to go to office regularly. But it is most important thing, that you spend your time in proper work, not for any bogus Home Based Online Work..!

You can always get a part time job and then work at home the other times. Your work at home may not take off as soon as you want so you know... precautions.

I think working from home is a great idea. One it gives me more control over my time. Two, it allows me to be in a better position to do something I am passionate about.

The issue I see is that a lot of people think owning a business is working 4 hours a day and making 6 figures. In most cases this is not the truth. You are most likely going to be working harder than in a normal job. The main difference is that if you love your work it is not going to feel like work.

People seem to think that you need discipline to work at home. How do you get things done when there are so many draws away from work. I find the opposite problem. I'm always being drawn to work at home. (I guess that's another type of discipline you need.) On balance, however, it makes sense to work at home - especially from a tax perspective. Lots of write off on things you'd buy anyway, like your computer, internet access etc. Also, claiming rent helps too!

Working from home is great for me. I hate taking orders from someone, I do things in my own way at my own pace. So far working from home has been more profitable (not by much) than sitting 8 hours a day in a cubicle.
