When I request work by a designer, writer or programmer on DP it would be nice to let everyone reading the thread later and/or subscribed to that thread that another user and I have agreed to begin work on the project. This could also offer an additional step of protection against fake itrader postings and keep hoards of people from not messaging someone who has posted requesting a service that is already being filled. It could work like this: 1. DP User post in a "Services" area or any WTB thread in the BST area. 2. Before posting the WTB thread the user must select if multiple DP users can complete the task or only one dp user can complete the task. 3. As the op of the thread receives offers in PM he/she can return to the thread and edit the post, marking another user as working on the project. 3A: or perhaps in when another post on the thread the op can click "work-in-progress" link in that users post to mark that this particular user is working on the project. 4: the service provider confirms the WIP by following a link in their PM box. 5: After the service provider confirms the WIP shows in the thread above all of the content in a highlighted box. It could say something like "This project is for multiple users. WIP from users" x, xx, xxx, xxxx, and xxxxx" or This project is a for a single service provider. WIP from user x" 6. The provider closes out by clicking "project completed" in the main thread. If multiple providers or an on-going project this does not apply 7: No itrader can be left by either party on a WTB thread unless the WIP has been selected by both parties, and the project closed out by the provider (if single provider) 8: a WIP section of the users area will show what thread titles and users they have provided services for, and what thread titles and users they have received services from benefits: - increases trust of the itrader system for services - provides an easy and functional way to communicate to other users that a provider has been selected - cuts down on social issues caused by lack of communication, including negative feedback, red rep and general - improves organization for DP users buying services - improves return customer demand for DP service providers who have provided great service in past - cuts down on admin and moderation time handling complaints of undeserved itrader what do you think?
Makes no sense to me... If an itrader is false, the user will get an infraction (or ban) and it will get removed.
You will get 10 Point infraction instantly counting into 6 Months of Ban. It will be called "Shilling/iTrader Fraud".
This is an amazing idea and I'd love to see it implemented here at Digital Point. It's not just about the false iTrader, it's also about the fact that users could mark their topic as fulfilled, meaning they get less spam PM's in their inbox.
