This thread is probably going to send some of you back ;)

Yesterday was my last day of my weeks Yr 10 work experience :)

It was at Barclays bank and was actually very interesting ;-)

Shame I still have a week of school. Just thinking that a week yesterday I break up for summer is annoying me badly :p

Did you go on work experience at school? When? Where did you go?

I did, it was a local council office and in a department related to finance. What I remember most was having coffee for the first time and falling asleep. Later on at college, I was on work experience at printer repair company. Well, again I had some coffee and fell asleep. So, from work experience I learnt that it's a bad idea for me to drink coffee if I want to stay awake. :D

I've never know anyone have that reaction :/

Is it the caffeine, of just coffee? Might have to try Irn-Bru if it's the caffeine, I'm sure it contains 10x more than other drinks...

Either that or I'm sensitive to caffeine...

    Also, sounds relatively fun :)

It's just coffee strangely. Caffeine definitely keeps me awake. I went through a phase of drinking waaaay too much Red Bull and similar types of drinks.

Is there an option of work experience as your own business now? That would be fun, but I guess one week is not enough for it.

I guess most would. There have been some very young entrepreneurs, though. Schools/the government should support any student wanting to start their own (legal) business, I think, though.

What did you actually do at Barclays Bank?

Sit around mostly. I helped with the money recycling, and I put some cheque only things through. I also checked the third party authorisation forms were still needed.

I also watched the filling up of the cash machines, and learnt several new facts ;)

The only work experience I had through school was actually at school. While I was at high school the teachers talked me into writing for the school newspaper. After awhile they booted me up to editor. I became very controversial, and the teachers eventually regretted what they had done. They soon realized that they had created a shit disturbing monster ha*ha!
