A home office deduction is generally easier for self-employed individuals to claim. But even then, the Internal Revenue Service has certain requirements a taxpayer must meet.
Always Office for me. I had a client who was working from home and he was always telling me how he wanted to get back into office (main office was oversees, and he was just working to support US buyers). At the end he quit the job and went back to his home country. He always told me, interaction with colleague is what he missed.
Work from home is my first choice but home based jobs are not easy to get that's why i work from office
I prefer working at home in most cases. I just like being near the kitchen at all times and by my bed in case I want to take an afternoon nap
Working at home I feel at times is too comfortable. Based on this working from an office puts you in a different state mentally. Therefore allowing you to be more productive and keeping distractions at a minimum.
That is exactly the same thing for me. I have a habit of doing other things besides work when i am at home. ie. COD as well... I prefer office, mentally it changes the way a person thinks when they leave to go to the office. - John
Having been working out of home. But I increasingly feel the work discipline gets compromised and in some way affects the business. Planning to move into a office soon.
I would have a custom made office within a part of my home. This way you have the best of both worlds. Short commuting to your office from your home, be separate from kids, family etc to focus on work but close enough to get back to them quickly once you finish up the work.
