That #1 site is mine. Has been for some time. AdSense prominently displayed, and has been for some time.

There is absolutely no truth to that rumor. MSN has an entirely different algorithm than Yahoo and Google. It is far less advanced in filtering spam and also the easiest site to obtain a #1 ranking for - SEO wise. MSN rankings seem to swing/adjust more than the others, but I have adsense and non-adsense sites in the same sector and their is no adsense penalty whatsoever.

If only yahoo and google rankings were as easy as MSN.....

I do agree with mjewel. MSN adsense seems to have nothing to do with it. Normally it is easier and quite faster to top rank on MSN thatn on any other SE. My new site got top ranked in a week, but the results keep swinging from time to time.

rubbish... i have been tracking the same keyword combos for years, there has been no msn serp penalty since i started doing adsense.

if anything, you should be looking for that to happen with yahoo, not msn.

I don't think they drop results for having adsense. I though it was interesting to read about google dropping results if you show different results to bots? Just out of interest, how would they know? Unless a person looks or they are sending a bot around that doesn't tell you it is a bot? What are everyone elses thoughts on that?
