I'm planning on performing some major keyword research for organic SEO and trying to find the best tools for the job. I'm looking for a tool that will: i. Help me see what my competitors are ranking for ii. Help me locate long tail phrases and keywords. A lot of people I've met in the SEO business recommend wordtracker, but I'm reluctant to shell out the $60 without first hearing from some people on this forum. Thoughts? Thanks!
We have used WebCEO to find link partners and keywords and it works quite well. I still think the best way to find long tail keywords is to use Google Keyword tool, export to excel, and then search for those words with less competition (yes I know that is for adwords, but if companies are not competing in adwords, they are less likely to do so on SEO grounds.)
I have also used google keywords for the same, and after that I tried Internet business programmer. using both one after another helped me out to catch the batter keywords
