I am curious to know if people like Word Tracker, or Keyword Discovery Better? I have used them both and like them both for different reasons, but was curious to hear what others have to say. Which do YOU prefer?
My WordTracker subscription expires in less than a week and I am just trying to justify if I should be renewing, or just sticking with the other option. Curious to know which is preferred.
Never used the other one, but wordtracker is the best that I have some across so far, a little pricy but it worth the money.
Sorry, I didn't see this reply! There all over just search Google for free SEO tools. My site is listed in there somewhere as well. But those are the ones I use and recommend.
KEI is good but I don't trust the number. Whichever the tool you use, it's better to research your competitors. Further more, high competition doesn't always mean you shouldn't join. There are lots of keywords seemingly so competitive and many web pages exist but NOT really SEOed.
I agree coolsitez, otherwise how would I be in business for SEO ( If all the site were ) The smart ones SEO even if they are #1. Being #1 is simply not enough anymore.
I never used kd so I dont know if its any good. However, I've used wordtracker before and its quite useful and accurate.
The big problem with this poll is that so few people use Keyword Discovery compared to Wordtracker (mainly because of the big difference in price). As a former Wordtracker user for many years, and now a KD user, I feel I'm in a better position to comment on this. For me there is no comparison - Wordtracker just comes nowhere near Keyword Discovery. It has far fewer features and a vastly smaller sample size, which is crucial IMO. But that's why KD is way more expensive than WT. You get what you pay for. Having said that, KD have recently hiked up their annual subscription and I'm not sure I'll be renewing it when it expires. (unless I can find 1 or 2 folk to share it, of course ;-) )
I also like keyword discovery; usually use it in combination with Google's keyword tool. I can't say I trust keyword discovery's results 100% of the time, but love the KEI stat. Great way to see that balance between search volume and competition for the keyword.
