Wordtracker will take it's information from to search engines called metacrawler and dogpile. These two engines will combine searchresults from alot of other major search engines and display them in on search results page.

My question, if anyone may comment is : What about the searches typed into google or yahoo directly for instance. Wordtracker obviously knows the searches typed into metacrawler and dogpile. But doesn't that mean that they DON'T include the searches typed into goodle and yahoo DIRECTLY by surfers ?

Can anyone shed light on this point ? And pls, I am not takling about search results here ... I am talking about direct use of a SE like google, yahoo in order to perform a search and if this will show up in wordtrackers database or not ..

    Thanks.

If wordtracker doesn't buy information from google directly - and I don't suspect they do - they won't have information about a google search as long as it doesn't result in a click on a liste metacrawler or dogpile page.
