Wordtracker and Overture keyword question

    Hi,

When I'm investigating a keyword using the DP tool, Wordtracker will return the exact phrase as the top result, whereas Overture will return the phrase in a very different order.

For example if I'm looking at the keyword "blue widget reviews", Wordtracker will return results back for the exact phrase, but overture might return a top result for "widget reviews blue".

Logically, I suspect most people search for "blue widget reviews". In this instance, do I target "blue widget reviews" or "widget reviews blue".

    Advice appreciated.

    Hi spondishy,

The accuracy of the Overture database is typically in question, so I'd go with the Wordtracker results. The fact that your intuition brings you to the same conclusion should seal it for you. :)

Yeah, I don't know why the Overture tool does that, but your assumption is right on that its "blue widget reviews" that is the actual search phrase.
