Hi, I'm looking for ideas - If a domain name is taken, eg example.com
What would you reccomend adding to the word example?

I know of: "the", "hq" and "zone". Eg - theexample.com

What kind of words would you think you would use?

    Prefix: the, i, e
Sometimes the plural of the domain helps :)

That is what I would do. You can do other things like :Authority, place, shop depending on your niche.

Well, you could just add a hyphen to the domain (free-site.com) - if that doesn't work, try adding a word that can actually fit with the domain and it looks nice to the eye.

Lets say you have JOKES website .. and the domain is : jokes.com .. you can add following words :

    free-
    full-
    many-
    -station
    -mania
    -unlimited
    unlimited-

    replace - with jokes :)

Skilled domainers usually suggest not to use the in the name. Good way is create a verb, if possible and add ing, if the infinitive form is taken.
