Yes, and remember host the wordpress on your own, because wordpress.com (the free one) won't allow any ecommerce.

 

YES! wordpress plugins allows you to certain ammendments & so the output looks like a website..

 

I personally customize my own ecom for a wordpress site that needs it.

I simply install the plugin for using php in posts and pages of wordpress
and then go from there using whatever ecom system i want and it's sql structure.

Allows me to really customize for me and clients!
