First go to WP-Admin -> Options -> General and modify WordPress address (URL) and Blog address (URL) to www.mysite.com instead of www.mysite.com/wordpress. You might be asked to re-login to Wp-admin and you will receive some missing files errors. You have just told WP to look for files in your document root so that's somewhat normal.
Next, move all of your files (FTP) from /wordpress to your document root and everything should work out just fine.

    Hope this helps,

    :)
The steps I described are in order. First you change the path to the blog, then you move the files. The path to the blog can be changed via WP-Admin (you did that). It's OK to get an error since WP is looking for the files in the root folder instead of /wordpress.

Login to FTP and simply move everything from /wordpress, one folder up to /.
You can't move files from WP-admin so there's no reason for you to try logging there.

It's the same thing as moving everything from C:\Windows to simply C:\.
Connect to FTP, enter the Wordpress directory and MOVE everything from there a level up, to /.

If you can't do it, I'll do it for you.
    PM me FTP information.
