Hello Everyone! I need everyone's help with WP

Two things:
A) What are some good sidebars etc for Wordpress
B) Anyone know of anyplace where i can get some nice templates/"themes"

Whoa thanks for the super response guys! I'll be sorting through all the ones you guys gave me, thanks a bunch! P.S. This may sound really nubbish, but after i have an adsense account, where do i put it?

 

I use the famous 3 colum k2 theme. It's free and has a pretty sweet build in administration.

 

i'm agree, administration part is great. But i'm noticed that this theme works a little bit slower than others.

 

You will need to make the code for the adsense and stick that code into the WordPress theme.

If you are willing to spend money on a WordPress theme then I suggest you check out SitePoints - Templates For Sale section. People are making and selling WordPress themes on there are some are pretty good.

 

my hosting is fast enough so as to not notice it so much. I do agree though.

 

buzza_gts and richi_ni already gave you resource, which i usually use. but have you ever google them ? Imho you can find more then this...

I prefer to code everything myself. Its easy to say of course. But I am doing it, and sometimes you dont need much coding anyway.

And btw, it will be tough to locate a portal style theme for WordPress as it is not expected to have such a functionality. Still if you are lucky, you may find some.

 

There are lots of themes to choose from but there's one that I found at a site named monetizingtheweb.com I like it especially for Adsense because it already has pages to add your Adsense code, and it can easily be done in. It also has a wide selection of different color schemes to choose from built into it as well

You can find nice and free WP templates at here.

 

Some good advice - find a simple theme you like (like Kubrick) and rework it. It will mean you do not have to depend on others themes in the future as you can make your own, harder initially but pays off. Themes in WP are fairly easy once you start by taking other's themes apart. That is how I learned!

Well l am the same like you, ur advice is very good, l made it the same like you, there are tons of free/simple themes and they are esay to modify.
