So I tried to upgrade (manually) my wordpress site to wordpress 3.0 Everythign seems to work, except wp-admin, it just shows a blank page. Will pay someone to fix it. Pm your quote i'll give ftp details.
Disabling plugins can be done in your cPanel, if you can't access dashboard. Look for wp-content/plugins folder and rename plugin one by one, or move all plugins to a new folder somewhere.
Here are some tips I got from searching the Wordpress forums: 1) Check the functions.php file for blank lines. Make sure there are no blank lines outside the <?php ?> tags. 2) Check the settings in wp-config.php 3) Check that your host meets the Wordpress requirements (PHP 4.3 or greater, MySQL 4.1.2 or greater, Apache with mod_rewrite module) 4) Check that there is a theme in the default folder. 5) Rename your plugins folder to plugins-old. 6) Delete wp-admin and wp-includes and then reupload from a FRESH download of Wordpress. 7) Increase Wordpress' memory limit if you have lots of plugins. Edit the wp-config.php file adding this line just below the define(‘WPLANG’, â€); define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’); I've also read that changing certain parameters in php.ini can fix it too, but doing that should be a last resort.
