Wordpress won't post after x amount of characters

Hi, I'm having a really weird issue where any post or page I make will publish or save draft, but once it's more than roughly 250 characters or so, wordpress just hangs/freezes and it won't publish the post or save it. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

 

1) Update WordPress
2) Disable all plugins
3) Use default theme.

Any of the above three can solve your problem. So, try each one by one.

 

What is your current value of post_max_size in php.ini?

 

Already on the latest version
disabled all plugins, used default theme... still just hangs.

It will post up to 240-50 characters, then suddenly freezes.

 

Okay, found it... post_max_size = 8MB

 

Change it to 32MB and try again.

 

Thanks for your help... turns out after trying a million things, it was the hosting company had some firewall settings messed up. Works now.

 

I am glad it works. Sometimes it's good to start at beginning.
