Wordpress Wallpaper Theme

I'm looking for a theme that was either designed for a wordpress wallpaper site, or at least works well. Anyone know of one?

Are you only limited to wordpress. To be honest, a wallpaper script might be better for a wallpaper site compared to a theme. It would even be most effective as wallpapers need to be automatically resized for different dimensions as per the visitor's desktop size. If you have not created the website by now then you might instead check out a few wallpaper script such as

http://wallpaperscript.com/ (it is paid but personally the best IMO .. I have used it and it is a good one)

http://www.wallscr.com/wallpaper-script-download/ (again paid but to be honest I do not see it's much as the next one I am listing below has the same features though in beta but is free)

http://www.w-script.com/ (free but in beta still .. I have used it also in one of my sites but beta is not that big of a problem as I have never faced any problems in that site though it is small)

 

I have read that wallpaperscript.com has a ton of security problems and absolutely no support.

 

Do you want specific features on it? Like do you want visitors to be able to rate the wallpapers? If you just want to showcase your wallpapers, then you can try Wordpress themes for photoblogs like Pandora or Triton Lite .

Some pirated or unsupported versions might have problems. But other versions should not. Many of the world's top websites are using wallpaperscript.com and even the owners of the script two top wallpaper websites. So, don't think so. I would rather say that 7-8 of the world's top 10 wallpaper sites are using that script from what I have seen. So, security should not be an issue and has never been for me. But then you can research further if needed. And in most cases, pirated or outdated scripts which creates the problem in case of most scripts instead of legal paid or free script. Same goes with any other script.

 

I ran a site using Wallapperscript.com and the script had too many bugs and they wouldn't offer support. I posted in their forums and sent e-mails and there were no replies. But they were still selling the script to new customers.

Use sites like elance.com or freelancer.com to get a coder to do a custom script.

 

Having someone do a custom script for you is a good idea. Or maybe get a web designer/developer and have the layout and script all done. You can check out the usual sites like oDesk, eLance etc or you might want to check out colleges and universities for students who are looking for projects to beef up their portfolio.

I purchased http://wallpaperscript.com/ 2 Years ago and 8+ Months back it got unsupported with my cPanel Version and the developer asked to purchase Update license to make it run on updated Cpanel... Is there Free Alternative to this and I can move to that script for my Wallpapers website?
