I know that people can create a blog on worpress and will look like this: example.wordpress.com how can I benefit from wordress if all blogs are in " wordpress" server meaning that they are " optimizing their own server, because people are "blogging" on some topics and that help them increase they popularity isn't it better If I instal http://wordpress.org/download/ on my server and create then my own blog directly from my web site? I ask if will be better in optimization result you know search engine optimization SEO?
You should never use wordpress.com blogs, I've tried it once and it's not good. As a blogging platform wordpress is the best one out there, but the free wordpress hosting is horrible. 1. They don't allow any sort of widget to be installed 2. They don't allow javascript, you cannot get adsense/adbrite or anything on them. If you don't want to pay for hosting go with blogger (It gives you much more freedom), but if you're serious about your work get some hosting and domain and make a name for yourself. PS: I rarely read/comment on blogger blogs.
