I prefer Wordpress, but self-hosted wordpress.org, not wordpress.com. However, if I were to choose a blog between wordpress.com and blogspot.com, I would prefer blogspot.com, as wordpress.com doesn't allow you to place affiliate links and Adsense on your blog.

Selfhosted Wordpress, very easy, SEO friendly, Tons of (free) plugins, more features like statistics, etc.

Definitely WordPress.. However I think Blogspots are a great way to get started with blogging and/or affiliate marketing. It's free, allows affiliate links and ads, and easy to use.

I can't favor any one. Both have their own plus and minuses. WordPress is superb because we do a lot of customization and plenty of plugins are available(with wordpress.org). Blogger is awesome for making money with adsense as it is google's product. And with blogger you can map your domain at no cost while with WordPress you have to pay annual fee for domain mapping.

my answer is that ...word press is best
because word press has lot of plugins that you can use them when you post your articles using word press. you will find lot of seo related plugins while blogger has no such facility

Both are good for hosting your blog. I guess blogspot is more preferred by Google and ranks better because it's Google's creation.

I wouldn't say either is better really, they both have their benefits. Blogger is just simpler, but harder to design b/c there aren't plugins. With Wordpress you have complete control...but Wordpress is generally preferred for professional blogging.

I like using a self hosted Wordpress site but if you're looking for a free method and want to generate some income from a free blog then I would suggest using Blogspot because Wordpress won't allow you to monetize your site.

Wordpress.org is better , go with blogspot.com rather than wordpress.com...

blogspot has lot of limitations , but there is full freedom over wordpress org :)

Security is the one of the main issue with WordPress :(

If your final goal is to have a self hosted website, you will most probably end up installing wordpress, therefore, I recommend using wordpress as you will get used to the system. The self hosted wordpress has the same backoffice as the shared one.

    Cheers

Self-hosted Wordpress is the best. It's not a good idea to build a blog on someone else's website. (You wouldn't build a house on someone else's property, would you?)
