Wordpress Using Adwords! But why?

    Wordpress.org an open sorce CMS provider using adwords.

    If you search for wordpress or wordpress related terms,their ads show.

    But why are they using it.

    update:They are redirecting it to their hosting plans..and they pay $100 + for getting customers....hahaaa...looks like a deal..

    Looks like someone is advertising webhosts rather than wordpress and they are using wordpress to get ur attention.

    The ad takes you to a page reveiwing and recommending hosting for WordPress, so I would guess they have some kind of affiliate deal with those hosting suppliers.
    *checks again* - yep, they're quite transparent and say that
    "If you do decide to go with one of the hosts below and click through from this page, some will donate a portion of your fee back—so you can have a great host and support WordPress at the same time."
