Hey hi all! I have currently 2 URL's working on my wordpress blog: 1- http://www.herbsmdblog.com/?p=5 2- http://www.herbsmdblog.com/5/suffering-from-arthritis-pain/ both of these url's are pointing to the same page. Now, I don't want the first url to be indexed or crawled (unfortunately it already has). So how do I prevent the first url to be indexed and allow the second ur to be indexed?
What is the /5/ doing there anyway. Why not remove that one to? This way the important text comes 3 characters to the front (I think that helps on SEO). I would install redirection plugin and I would check all pages that link to the old URL and make sure there gone. Then 301 redirect old to new using the plugin. As always figure out the correct URL in WOrdpress before your starting, saves a lot of touble next time ;-)
