Wordpress Unique Themes... How much?

How much do unique wordpress themes cost? I want one made but I dont want to be paying over the top for it.

I am after a football (Soccer) style one but I dont want all the footer links on.

If anyone can help then please let me know.

I can tell to you any price exactly. It's by designer and some affect in that theme.

 

Well I have been looking about and have found a few for about $200. Just wondering if that is the going rate?

 

I don't think there's a standard price. It all depends on the skill level of the designer and the price the market would bear.

 

Well, it depends on many things.. Looks of the theme, Functions, use of codes..
A decent unique theme should come under $250.

Thanks for all your replies. Im going to have a bit of a think because I have no idea what wordpress is like yet. I know what I want in it but I just dont know yet what can be done!

I should just install a free theme to get the hang of wordpress then look about flippa has some good templates show from time to time. Also templatemonster shows how many purchases have been made most only have 2-3 sales http://www.templatemonster.com/category/wordpress-themes/

 

Thanks again for the tips. I have actually got someone to help me do something to a theme to make it a little different (a free theme) and make a few changes. If that doesnt work out I will have a rethink and take up the offer here of a custom design.

I want to get it right, right from the start as the project I have in mind is going to be quite large and will hopefully see a lot of traffic to a pr4 domain ive done nothing with for 3 years!
