Wordpress thesis - background image heading padding or margin?

    Hi Guys and Girls. I'm rather new here. Wondering if you can help out.

    I'm using THESIS 1.8 Theme and I am trying to add a little bit of padding or a marigin within header for the background image.

    My site is http://www.austerityliving.co.uk

    I have indicated on the Menu where I want the background-image to be.

    I used the following code for text and it worked but I am looking for some code which will work for background image.



    .custom #header,.custom #footer
    { padding-right: 4em; padding-left: 4em; }

    Thanks for help and while Im waiting will see if I can help others.

    I'm not a thesis person, more woothemes myself. However, there is a site called byobwebsite.com he has some good training on thesis, you may want to check it out.
