Other then Kubrick, the default wordpress theme, are there any other Wordpress themes that can be used as a starting point for customization and then redistribution?
I should think you can modify and redistribute any theme that has been released for free so long as you give credit to the original author.
if you want to customize and then give away a theme you should start from scratch... if you use someone else's work then it's not yours from the beginning.. good luck
