Hey need some ideas from people as i have had my theme rejected, possibly looking to get someone to redesign this then share revenue.. May lead to lucrative partnership as i am a pretty good coder.

This is my previous thread it details the theme so no point in repeating it here. Please check out the previous thread but leave feedback here as this is the correct section to do so.

I'm guessing design wasn't good enough, in general. Atm i'm trying to improve the text to conform to one of the articles they recommend you read, here.

    Here's what they said:

Themeforest is known for themes that have a certain flash appeal. They have styles or functions that stand out from the crowd.
What you have is a nice theme, but nothing that can't be done with any other magazine theme.

Along with what has already been said, you need to up the game a little. It's hard to say specifically without a working demo.
Once you get that up, it will go a long way in evaluating the theme. Right now an image is not much to go on.

Hey dude cheers for taking the time to reply, i was going to get a live demo going but tbh it's probably quicker for me to start from scratch, which is what i'm doing, i started working on a better design last night and it's going extremely well ( i think ). I had a look at theme forest and have decided to go with a corporate / portfolio design, and i have to admit i am trying to get it looking similar to what's already on there. This time i'm going to submit it as a design before commiting to coding.

Start a thread on the themeforest forum - you will get better feedback there.

good idea, better to ask them using their forum or contact us link. I agree with hmansfield have a catchy/flashy design and must use ajax/jquery.

Why don't you create a Windows Phone 7 Metro style inspired wordpress theme?? I searched a lot for one but couldnt find any. Here are few examples of WP7 themes.

TF standards are extremely high. There's no reason you couldn't get that theme accepted in the end but you'd need to really work on things like typography and hierarchy. Space things out a bit, make a nice theme logo.

From experience I know that they judge the theme as a whole, but no matter how flashy the features are the design still needs to be 100% up to scratch.

Magazine style themes are really doing well over there lately so I'd probably try working on this some more tbh, especially if you already coded the whole thing up.

Remember what people really want is a theme that looks like it could be used for just about anything, so simple designs work the best. A perfect example is Deadline, when I have enough money to buy things I'll never use I'm all over that one :p

Judging by the files I’ve had rejected by ThemeForest and others that were accepted it doesn’t seem like the reviewers are very artistically skilled. Most likely they are technicians. You should try to submit your file to another marketplace:
    For example try here: http://www.nattywp.com/affiliates.php
