Wordpress theme Ideal Width?

    hi
    i want to design a WP theme, but i dont know which width is people love to use and which width is in use in most of the blogs.
    can you give me an Ideal about width of WP themes, and please send me PSD of your old work if you really want a new designer to get started.i want to know how to slice and width....:)

    I prefer it on a 1024X768 screen size, that gives you appx. 990px of width to work onto.

    I like to have a width of around 800-860px, but of course, it depends on the design, and if it's 3 column or 2 column. Cause if it's 3 column, then it's fits better to have it wider and vice versa imo-

    It sounds safe (ideally between 800 - 990) so I would also go with that ;)

    If you declare the width to have an 800px width, and you are considering to view it on a 800x600 screen, you'd have a horizontal scrollbar for that, a safe width on a small screen is around 770px, so if you are considering a smaller screen to view your work, you are safe on a 770px width. but if you are thinking on working on a 1024x768 screen size, for me it is good to fixed it on a 990px.

    so for me the screen size is ok, if again you want it to be viewed entirely on a 1024x768 screen (the width that is):D
