    Hi

I want to learn wordpress theme development but I have few questions in my mind and want to clear them. Please help me on this.

    1. While design theme in Photoshop, are there any specific rules and guidelines according to which a theme should be designed? Like width, grid system, mobile compatibility, spacing etc?
    2. How to slice the theme (xhtml conversion) according to wordpress guidelines?

Please help me to clear above points.

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards

Well for the width, i guess it's better to go in between 960px and 1000px though it has nothing to do with Wordpress, as for XHTML, it's also the same, no guidelines applies, just make sure your code is clear and clean, keep your work organized so you can easily convert it to WP.

anything else? let me know I'm all around the forum.

Anyone who designs a theme needs to make it responsive and there are some great frameworks around to build your theme upon. Google things like "wordpress responsive theme" and you'll find "bones" in the results and a few others. Real game changers for designers because they just need to add their flair.
