Wordpress Supercache Advice Needed

    Hello, i recently joined the power of WP supercache by adding this feature to my wordpress based website.

    Now i know there is something wrong.

    When i view other wordpress blogs and sites using it, after viewing the page source in the bottom.

    It says dynamic page generated in 0.89 seconds, blah blah supercache.

    Do the same on my site, and i get dynamic page generated in 39.88 seconds.

    This time scale is not good.

    Does anyone know what might be going on, whether or not i have missed something.

    How long does supercache take to begin generating static html files over php.

    WP super cache needs a bit expertise in WP. Read the manual given in it.

    Yeah it should be less then 1 second. Bit confused how it could possibly take that long, that is some serious lag time. Did you make sure to modify the .htaccess file when you installed the cache plugin?
