Wordpress stole my www?

    Hey guys,

I've just installed a wp blog on a new domain, and for some reason it's made it go from http://www.domain.com, to http://domain.com.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Anyone seen this before? I've installed a few other blogs but they've all been in subdomains so it's never been an issue.

Would really appreciate some insight on this, as I don't think it's going to be great for seo.

    Thanks a lot in advance

    David

It always does that. It is no big deal because they will both work. Just promote the one you want to use and it will be fine. I always keep mine the way it is. I believe you can change it in the setting of your admin panel.

Login to your wordpress admin section, click on "settings"

In "WordPress address (URL)" field enter full url.

Thanks a lot for replying guys...

That's funny, I tried changing the WP address to the full url and it kicked me out to the log in page and then told me my password was incorrect.

Couldn't log back in at all, had to remove the whole thing from cpanel and start again. Great fun!

Scared to try again. Maybe later lol

    Thanks though guys

Yes it's normal, you have to login again.
May be you were entering incorrect password.

lol yeh iv done that before... my host doesnt hav cpanel and no fatastico so its auto wordpress installs are weird. I dont get to supply any options and it gives me an admin password that, once i navigate away from the page, is lost forever lol.

I just delete the whole thing and start again :p takes like 2 minutes anyway.
