I have static page option checked in the admin and I selected which page...but it is not showing up ....the most recent posts are showing on the home page.

Does this feature only work with some themes? Is there some option I need to check other than what I've done?

thank you in advance for your help...

That should be all you need to do. That's all i've ever needed to do. Did you double check that you actually hit "Update"?

I can't tell you how many times I have clicked UPDATE OPTIONS :( it doesn't matter how many times I re-do it and click update options...it still is showing most recent posts instead of the static page.

Any other ideas...anyone want to see if they have the magic touch?

oo..some themes are not suitable for this option..try change the default theme first to determine the problem

I find the option doesn't work in all themes so I just forgot about it. I only use the plugin now and I don't seem to have the problem.

Yep, it most likely has to do with your theme. As suggested above try it with the default theme. If it doesn't work or you need help let me know and I'll do what I can.

Yeah, I think it's the theme too. I tried to set the static page for OP with no luck, and I suggest to OP to change the theme temporarily to see if static homepage will work with a different theme.

There are plugins out there with the same functionality that should work. Try googling some.
