wordpress - slow posting

    When I publish something it takes too long for it to be published. I tried removing cache & ping services but still no difference. Does having 9k posts cause my posting to be slow at publishing? or is it that I don't have enough php memory?

    Did you install WP cache plugin??
    Install it and try..

    I already had wp-cache installed still no difference

    You should optimize your database.
    I had some problems with a blog with about 150 Posts and a 28MB database.

    can you tell me how to optimized ? what do you mean by optimize database ?
