As above, my 'meta' login has dropped out so Im having to enter wp-login.php which drives me bonkers. Anyone know how to get it back? Also what's the difference between posts and pages? Why can't you categorise a page? Is switching to wordpress 2.6.1 a big deal, why can't they make it automatic, like their plug-ins? I'm too scared Ill lose everything. Don't know how to back up. Anyone know also, sic, of a good adsense template. The blue prosense is awful after a short while. thanks
I use pages for more important article and use post for regular update. Why can't you categorise a page? Because you are not supposed to make lots of pages. you could try my adsense template at www.ourhappymoney.com. If you are interested, PM me. I'll send it to you.
Also what's the difference between posts and pages? Why can't you categorise a page? Posts is your blog post article that you write everyday Pages contains your blog menu like: home | contact us | about us | archives | etc..... Is switching to wordpress 2.6.1 a big deal, why can't they make it automatic, like their plug-ins? I'm too scared Ill lose everything. Don't know how to back up. there is available plugin of automatic update for wordpress. try this plugin http://techie-buzz.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade-plugin.html Anyone know also, sic, of a good adsense template. The blue prosense is awful after a short while. in my opinion, it is better if you study where you place your adsense, because some of the free theme available for free have low CTR layout
Im goood with wordpress. but im not getting exactly what your problem is. Explain it more dude, is your wp-login.php page isnt openin?
have you lost your username and password ? can be retrieved/changed via database (if you have access to it).
It seems ( I think) your missing the php tag for the meta area. The following should solve the problems. Just play about dropping these into your sidebar until you get what you want <?php wp_meta(); ?> PHP: Or if you just want the login/logout to switch around. Try this one: <?php wp_loginout(); ?> PHP: And just for good measure, heres the one that gives the registration link: <?php wp_register(); ?> PHP: One of those should do what your wanting. All the best and hope it helps. Dan
