wordpress sitemaps

    i use the sitemap wordpress plug-in..just hav a couple of questions:

    1.does the sitemap update automatically each time i write a new post?

    2.do i hav to submit the sitemap each time to google webmaster tools??

    by the way..i also have a robots.txt file where ive given the location of the sitemap..

    wordpress sitemap automatically update need to do manual,
    once submission of google sitemap need not to submit again.

    i never used WP,but if it does it automatically and the output is xml,then just pointing the robot.txt to it should be all you need to do.

    you can update the webmaster tools once in a while if you want,but if you have good backlinks any new post will be indexed quick even without any sitemap.

    This is the one I use and it works perfectly. Even though it's named Google Sitemap Generator, it updates all of the major search engines. It is automatic, when you post, but you can update manually.

    You don't have to update and or resubmit your sitemap everytime an update is done on your blog. The wordpress sitemap plugin is suppose to do it automatically for you.

    I'm having a problem with my sitemap plugin too. I always get this error. It worked for quite some time but after a month or so, I get this error when I entre my sitemap.

    wordpress sitemaps with robots.txt had freaked me out long time ago..
    google has not yet crawled through my site :(

    1,no,you need to create a sitemap and submit it.
    2,yes,you have to create new sitemap after you posting new articles.
