I am using the site map plugin for wordpress yet i can't get the sitemap to actually display on the website. Am i doing something wrong? SHouldn't i be able to see it?
i think a human readable one would be better dont' you agree? the one i'm currently using i believe is only xml
They serve different purposes. You need to search for a different plugin. The one you have isn't designed to be human readable.
It should be located at www.example.com/sitemap.xml Most likely your theme will not have a link to it. If you want to link to it you could place a link to that address in you footer or sidebar. Here is where you can download the HTML/Human Readable sitemap plugin for wordpress, in case you or maybe Dcristo wanted to have a look. http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/sitemap-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/
Thanks for letting me know about the other plugin. (I still believe a good internal link structure is all you need though) About your other comment, you shouldn't link to your XML sitemap that's too spammy and not it's intended purpose.
That's an excellent plugin and I highly recommend it. I use it alongside the Google Sitemap Generator, the XML sitemap.
i downloaded and but i can't seem to get it to display. I thought i followed it perfectly can you provide any assistance before i pull my hair out trying to figure it out?
