Wordpress Single User and Buddypress issues.

As many of you know Buddy press is supposedly compatible with the latest version of Wordpress.

After installation, and re-installation I am having some problems that I hope someone can help with.

All of the Buddypress functions seem to be working fine except for the User Blogs.
I don't have it as an option, nor is there any kind of link, set up, or page for users to create blog posts as with Buddypress+WordpressMU.

Is this only a function that is compatible with Wordpress MU ?

Does anyone know anything about this?

Can I install WordpressMU over my existing Wordpress single user installation, using the same Database information without loosing any previous blog posts ?

    Any help is appreciated.

Finally found an answer on the Buddypress site, posted yesterday:
    http://wpmu.org/buddypress-for-single-wordpressorg-users-not-wpmu/.

So...then Buddypress is not completely compatible with Single User Wordpress. I wish they had made that clear in the release instead of hyping how great this was.
I agree, it is a good step in the right direction, but one of the main functions of Buddypress was User Blogs, without it, all other functions are pretty useless.

So back to my second question...installing MU on my Single user installation...anybody ever done this before that can offer any tips?
