wordpress sign up - invitation system

Hi, Im looking to setup a private invitation only blog with a forum.

I do not want the guest users to register on my site.

I/ members of my site - should only be able to send an invitation email with a link to sign up on my site.

Wordpress experts- Those who know wordpress better, can you please let me know if any plugins exist that already does this.

try wordpress membership plugins... or you can go for approval of signup users

 

thanks for ur prompt reply .. can u send me the link to the wordpress membership plugin .. .. does it have an option for invitation system than can send an invitation to others email address and they can sign up using the link.

Have you come across s2member?
It allows 4 levels of membership (bronze through platinum and you can change the level)
It's integrated with paypal which paypal tracks the lifespan of the membership. It will expire the member when subscription is up.
It allows you to create paypal button according to your levels of membership.
Of course all these requires configuration (and a little patient)
