wordpress showing 404 for sub directories

    Hi All,

    I have installed wordpress in my root domain, say 
    www.example.com/
    Code (markup):
    , the wordpress installation is working fine. I have a sub directory called "forum", it can be accessible like 
    www.example.com/forum/
    Code (markup):
    where I have my own coded php application. The problem is the wordpress htacccess rewrite rules showing an 404 error when I accessing the 
    www.example.com/forum/
    Code (markup):
    url.

    Any ideas?... Please help me.
