    Ok

I recently started blogging about 6 days ago via blogger: www.danztechnology.com

But someone told me Wordpress is more SEO friendly.

So i was wandering if someone could point me in the right direction for hosting a wordpress blog etc.

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dan

If you want to host your wordpress blog freely, you can signup for some free hosting providers. You can find some in freebies section.

If you are ready to invest some $$ in paid hosting , you can go for hostgator or wpwebhost.

For using wordpress , you will get tutorials here : http://www.siteground.com/tutorials/wordpress/

Get hosting with cPanel and Fantastico - takes two minutes to get a wordpress blog set up using that.

Only takes 5 minutes without it mind you. Just upload your wordpress files to the domain and follow the instructions. Pretty easy.

    Well that's a problem. :)

Before you can use Wordpress you need to get yourself some hosting.

Some questions you need to ask yourself:

    • Are you planning to create more than one website?
    • What sort of budget can you afford every month for hosting?

blogspot has not much options but wordpress has lot of option, even if you have a registered domain and has no development work, simply install wordpress and launch a full website.

Exactly the easiest way to get wordpress up and running for a beginner is to get web hosting that has cPanel with Fantastico which allows for a few click installation of wordpress.

Just noising you up, Dan. :)

Once you've written a couple of posts you need to sort out your urls - make them 'pretty' as the advice goes.

What plugins - this is something you need to think about. There are some excellent plugins available for wordpress but it depends what you want.
Askimet plugin - comes with WP but you need to register to get an API key - doesn't take long. Activate the plugin and it will give you a link - go there and get yourself a key.

Blog ping list - you use this so every post you make is 'pinged.'
