    I use both CMS platforms and neither are either better or worse than each other for SEO.

    Nearly all CMS platforms take SEO quite seriously these days - mostly though they have to be optimized by third party plugins.

    You'll find Wordpress easier to optimize though as with many aspects of Wordpress because it has a more simpler admin system than Drupal

    Wordpress is better straight out the box but if you know what you are doing Drupal is far more customizable.

    For SEO benefits, Wordpress for sure any day, but for security reason i'll opt drupal.
