I don't see a specific blogging forum, so please pardon me if this is not the right place for this question.

I want to further optimize my blog by using permalinks with keywords rather than www.mysite.com/blog/p=6 or whatever the default format is. I followed the instructions for changing the posts to have keyword-based permalinks, and my main blog page works fine, but when I click on an individual post, it takes me to www.mysite.com/blog/my-keyword and I get a 404 error. Is this a common Wordpress bug? Is there something I can do to fix this? I had to change it back to the default p=6 format for now but I do want to optimize the blog and want to permanently change it to have each link have the post slug in it instead of a number.

Never mind - I fixed it. I had to change my .htaccess file.
