    hey,

I was curios to know at what point should a wordpress hosted site move from a shared hosting account to a dedicated server?

Would a shared hosting account handle 20.000 unique visitors per day?

Also at what point would WP Super Cache be vital (other other caching plugins)?

    Thanks

Whilst wordpress is very sustainable I would say that shared hosting would not manage that many visits per day

Thanks for the input, any other thoughts on this?

I'm talking about a website that is not heavily loaded, basically it contains only text, banners, images and video embeds.

I've seen other opinion that a shared hosting could host 20000 unique visitors.

Hi, I never needed to move from a shared hosting provider to my own server and I even have more than one (wordpress) website running on that hosting account but that could be because I don't get that many visitors a day so I can not guarantee that the same would be true for you.
